1950		May 20th ......born in Birmingham, England
1962-65		Played in a number of semi-pro pop groups.
1965		Began career as professional guitarist.
1968		London based sessions, club gigs and European Tours (1966-68).
1969		Summer season in Morocco, including several concerts for the King.
1970		Composed music for the LP Hannibal (B+C Charisma 1022), soloist on the same record. Toured with Black Sabbath and Free
1971		Two European tours, fronting Hannibal (including German TV and Radio broadcasts). Commenced full-time training as a music teacher and classical guitarist
1974		Attended Cannington Classical Guitar Summer School, studying advanced classical guitar.
1975		Obtained Cert Ed (Leeds University). Obtained Licentiate Teacher's Diploma from Trinity College of Music, London (LTCL)
1976		Obtained Performers Associate Diploma from London College of Music (ALCM). Contributed a series of articles on jazz guitar chord substitution to Guitar magazine.
1977		Composed a guitar duet for the Queen's Silver Jubilee which has featured as a BBC signature tune. Obtained Fellowship Diploma in performance from London College of Music (FLCM).
1978		Obtained teacher's Licentiate Diploma from London College of Music (LLCM TD). Featured guitar soloist in two performances of the Vivaldi Concerto in D Major (Birmingham Cathedral and Avoncroft Museum)
1979		Gave lectures on the History of Jazz for Birmingham University (Dept. Extra-mural Studies). Established and taught a series of jazz guitar workshops at the Centre for the Arts, Birmingham. Gave seminars and workshops at the Manchester Fretted Instrument Festival. Toured the Midlands with Kenny Baker (trumpet), Andy Hamilton, Kathy Stobart (saxophone) and the Midland Youth Orchestra. Selected concerts were broadcast on BRMB Radio. Guest soloist for Birmingham Jazz Society's 10 Birthday Party.
